  • Should Boyan start at the weekend against Malaga?

Barca youngster once again showed his class scoring the only goal against Benidorm in the Copa del Rey on Tuesday night, so surely he now deserves to start a league game for the club. So far Pep Guardiola has always overlooked Boyan who had become a regular in the team under Frank Rijkaard but while it is true as a young player he should be brought in slowly, now it is time for him to play more of a regular role. He has only been given two starts this season, the first in the Champions League against Basel and then against Benidorm and he has grabbed three goals. A big question also would be who would you take out of the team to accommodate Boyan with Iniesta, Eto'o and Messi hardly putting a foot wrong.
  • Who do you think are the worst players ever to have worn a Barca shirt?

In the Catalan press they did a survey for who fans thought were the worst ever players for the team and there were not many surprises in the list with most of the players coming from the dark days when Joan Gaspart was president.

Chosen in goal was Rustu Recber who only made a few appearances for Barca before returning to Turkey and maybe would consider himself unlucky not to have had more chances. Winston Bogarde and Christanval are in the defence, Rochemback, Ciric and Giovanni are included in midfield while in attack there is a place for Maxi Lopez.

Do you think they are the worst or are their players who deserve it more?

  • Should Messi be the European Player of the Year?

While there is no doubt that Lionel Messi has been the star performer for Barcelona in the last year, has he done enough to deserve to win the Balon d'or?

With his ability to run with the ball and beat players, Messi has to be the best in the world but while he has this ability has he done enough on the pitch to win the award? Looking at it negatively, Barca have not won a major competition in two years and so Messi cannot be said to have helped his team to success and if you compare him to Ronaldo then the Portuguese has won the league with Manchester United and the Champions League.

Messi is still improving as a player and has also suffered from injuries. One of the key areas in which he needs to improve is that he needs to start dominating matches and imposing his personality.
